Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I don't know much about lava lamps, never owned one. I was thinking about getting one when I ran across this one at a relatives house. Any idea how old it is, or anything about the model?

The wax just floats to the top and stays. I had read about replacing the wax, but most of the guides I found don't apply to this model. Any suggestions on if it would be worth fixing up, what to get, etc? I think the top is glued on, so it might not be able to be fixed. Thanks for any info!

I believe that's an Oozy Glo lamp. Maybe called Oozy Flo? They aren't that old. Maybe early 2000s?

To get the lamp wax back together you might need to set aside the liquid and boil the lava back together. Looks like wax separation. What bulb is in it?

These lamps aren't rare or worth much, so why not experiment? ;)

It says 25w s11 for the bulb. I really figured it was older (just because of the house). A goo kit would run be around $40 if I'm looking at the right product. For that I guess I would be better off just buying a new lamp!

Yes, you would! Or, crack it open and try to boil the lava back together.

Thanks, I'll try to read up on boiling and try that first.
