Mathmos Jet - not flowing!

Hey everyone!

Got a problem with my mathmos jet!
It's the full purple/pink one that I have has for a while but not used it,
Set it all up today and waited 2-4 hours and the wax melted but it stays in a blob at the bottom :(

It has a 30W bulb in that mathmos say to use, after a while it kinda of half
Comes off the spring but still stays at the bottom!


Please help!!

Have you used it before this and if so has it worked?

I think it was used a while ago and worked fine, not 100% sure though.
It's been stored away with my Crestworth Nordic GlitterLite

A golfball ball is not the right bulb for a Jet - you need a 30w reflector like this one - http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?q=r39+reflector+bulb&o...

Half did, was kinda of half on the coil and half off the coil

Bought a 30w R39 today! Just put it in and now just need to wait and see

Ok I have now put a R39 30W bulb in the lamp,
Last night it worked better, was making blobs not brilliant but better,
Today I have used the lamp and it's doing the same issue again,
It makes a dome at bottom of lamp but half of it comes fully off the coil and the 
Other half stats on coil but no blobs at all

When it cools back down the wax goes back in place back on the coil.

When on it warms up and flows for a little and then the wax goes into a dome shape at bottom of the lamp

but half of the dome is off the spring when it's melted

I don't think the issue is with the wax not sitting on the coil - try this which may get it flowing.

Mix 2 tablespoons of Eposn salts to half a pint of distilled water.
Take some fluid out of the globe and keep that if needed.
Add the Epsom salts mix to the globe when the wax is melted bit by bit until you get the desired flow.

This should work but if it doesn't and it stays the same then the wax is probably dead so you would need to do a complete lamp redo.
