Anyone happen to have a spare 52oz Lava brand cap? Or maybe a base and cap? I have a 52oz missing the top.

Screw cap or plain Jane sit over the top of the bottle cap cap? I think I may have a plain Jane variety in silver lying around.

David, the cap you need really depends on the lamp you are trying to cap, globes from before the mid to late 80's required a screw on cap as they had no pop-top cap like the lamps produced later, those later style globes just had a decorative metal cap, to get the right type pf cap, we really need to know the age of your lap and if it has a pop style cap or not.
I'll double check the year if I can but that looks like what I need. Let me know your shipping address and I'll get a mo out to you.
Thank you! It's been topless since I've had it.
Well, it's a China lamp. I need to do a search on the numbers on the lid and decipher it, Maybe tomorrow if I can.
so far noone has figured out what the code on china lamps means, just the american made ones, we just needed to know how old it is to determine what 52oz cap it requires.
Might just be out of luck then.
since you know it is from china we know the age, the reason for needing to know the age is that the really old globe (80's and back) used a screw on top not the decorative type yours has. Those older lamps did not use the crimped pop cap at all, the screw on cap was decorative and it sealed the lamp shut.
The one that James has should be a perfect fit for your lamp.
OK cool! I'm planning on going with a goo kit as the flow is far from perfect.
