Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I have a brand new 20" lamp and the "brick" of wax is upside down with the coil on top.  Is there any problem with this?  Will it work itself out or do I need to get it flipped over before I turn it on for the first time?  If it does need to be flipped, any tips?  I've been unsuccessful so far.

Thanks!

Well whatever you do...don't shake it. It'll cloud up on you. Just turn it on and as the goo melts...swirl it... gently. It'll work it's way down.

Thanks. I'll give it a try!

i have flipped them when the wax is solid and the lamp is room temp but if you run it some it will work because i have flipped a few coils before.
