Crestworth Glitterlites - is a 40W bulb OK?

Hello folks,

I have recently read that you should use a 25W bulb for the LIVING JEWEL fast flowing glitter bottles - otherwise the silver coating on the large flakes comes off - leaving the flakes colourless.

Is it OK to use a 40W bulb with the slow moving GLITTERLITE bottles? Does it cause any damage?

Good thread! I've been using 40 w which is what I thought are suppose to be used on these now you go me thinking......

The truth be said ... I've seen Living Jewels that have lost all their silver flakiness, but never a damaged glitterlite.
