Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I'm picking up a Wave Machine this weekend and it will most likely be in my hot car (car gets 120F+ inside) all day. Do Wave Machines have any problems with heat (like transporting Lava lamps in high temperature) or any other precautions I should take?

The fluid in them is know to evaporate over time so I would imagine that kind of heat is not real good for it.  I would not take that chance but thats just my opinion.

Thanks.  I think I'll bring along a cooler.

What will happen if a wave machine is left in below zero temperatures? My cabin is in for a long string of below zero weather and the wave machine is sitting up there. I wonder if it will get cloudy does anyone know?

I wouldn't be so concerned about clouding up, I would be considered about the vessel cracking if the masterfluid freezes.  I personally would rescue that puppy if you foresee prolonged periods of sub-freezing temps.  Check to see how well your cabin's insulation is working as well - take the room temperature and compare it to the outdoor temperature.  Obviously, the frigid temps will have a cumulative effect, so how you would account for that I don't know.

Our high temperature in Chicago on Monday?  -10 Fahrenheit (wind chills -30 to -50).  Kick ass!

I don't like the sound of that I know there's no heat on up there, I can't grab it until spring.
