Remove scratches from globe?

Due to my incompetence, I stored some globes next to each other and they rubbed against themselves causing the glass to scratch.   It looks awful and I'm so upset.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove the scratches.

Read something about this awhile back in the Lava Talk forum. Never tried it myself so I'm not sure how well it works. Here's one of the links.
