Any Lava Hoarders out there?

Ok, so I saw this new show on the Sci Fi channel called Collection Intervention. I couldn't help but wonder if we have any gooheads here who have let their Lava passion completely take over their living space. I would love to see an episode based on LLs.

Completely take over?  No, but the tendencies are there  ;)

14 lamps on display in 2 rooms, a few lamps sitting around that I haven't decided whether to store or not, and probable 20 or 30 plus stored in a utility room.

That doesn't take up near as much space as my kid's toys or my wife's shoes,  hehe

It wouldent surprise me - I think we all have lava taking up time and space in oure life and house to some extent - some more then others.

There was one member on hear (he left to join the others on sight ......) and his collection was really out of control - the kind of guy who just stashes away lodes of lamps, some really nice and rair as well I just dont get it.

He did once get them all out but that was it - yes it was cool and all but no real varity just buying for buying sake I feel.

If I turn on all the lamps in my family room I blow a fuse.  I suppose that is a pretty good indication that I have a few too many in that room (at least).

I kinda feel a little like a hoarder, though I've definitely slowed down. I have about 75 vintage lava/glitter lamps and it's starting to feel overwhelming. Partly due to our small house and partly due to the 60 lamps in the basement. :P

I know I've read some member's profiles here that had 200. Which to me doesn't seem outrageous. lol I bet there's someone...somewhere with even more.

LOL!!!  I know exactly what you are saying here.  When I flip all these on, this is easily the warmest seat in my house.

LOL I was just thinking and wondering if you could blow a fuse by having to many lava lamps on at once. Don't let a fuse stop ya!

I haven't blown a fuse yet.... my electricity bill is outrageous and the heat emanating from them may allow me to turn my heat down this winter. So hopefully it all balances out. lol
