Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Got it in the mail today, so excited- new color for me (Clear/Turquoise).  It is a little cloudy, but that's what happens with shipping in the summer, hopefully it will clear up.  This thing is very shiny and well made (first I've ever seen one in person).  Not a fan of the light bulb they chose to use (uncommon), however it's nice to have something factory made for the US ,electrical wise.

Cap

Switch and cord are very high quality (apple like)

The Most awaited and important part (at least for me), a damn us plug!! :)

Some shots of the inside of the base (stickers and such)

Nice and clean! Love it. This color combo was ever so slightly hazy for me when I got it, but runs crystal clear.

Ahhh I used those bulbs in the re-wire of my fluidium
hey looks like they have screw on legs again or is that a completely new wa of fixing them?

Yeah, with allen wrench screws.  The bottle sits on those little metal things that stick out- well made in that respect as well.

I actually just looked at mine... and while it says 30W on the sticker (and 240V despite being a US lamp) it is actually a 40W bulb they included... I was suspicious when I started looking to order replacement bulbs and the only E14 spot bulbs seem to be 40W. I unscrewed the bulb and it says 40W on the base... had to look very close. I was wondering why it seems to overheat rapidly.

Folks may want to check the US Telstars... I am going to put mine on a dimmer now.
