I'm no lava lamp guy (obviously), but I need to know if any of these lamps are worth anything as I can buy them used...  How old are they?  Thanks in advance guys!  P9180355.JPG

Its hard to say phreaktor.  You really need to take a look under the cap to see if its US lava or Chinese lava.  Are the bases Aristocrat pinhole bases or not?  The majority do look nice and clear.

You may as well be speaking Greek, Jim, haha.. I just know I love te blue and yellow one.. I will try to find out.

Check this page.  If the bottle cap resembles what you see in there, it is a US made lamp.  http://oozinggoo.ning.com/page/lava-lite-color-codes

What a Chinese bottle cap will look like.

Aha.. Thanks.. I'm trying to contact the seller.

I'd be looking at all the Aristocrats, especially the black one 2nd from left - its shorter cap indicates a plastic cover, not metal, which means late-90s. New China Aristos use metal caps that are all longer.

Blue bodied Aristocrat is the best.  All other Aristos are pretty good too especially in US made.

My mistake, the Black Aristrocrat is the best.

depending on price china or not it may be a good deal

From looking closely at the picture I think most of the silver streaks / astrocrats are USA. Jones said the cap of the USA lamps sit lower and on most of the lamps they do. The one I think is china of the LL lamps is the 2nd lamp in on the right on the right shelf.

I am willing to bet that the single globe is USA as well.

Ovesley the other lamps such as the wave globed lamps, the peace lamps and the 16oz'er are china ones from what you first said Hugh the value is hard to know without looking at each lamp individually for the China ones they are not worth much, if I were you I would put these on Ebay as a job lot.
