Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hey
so i just got a Lunar, fantastic lamp!
got a few questions about it;-

1) how long does it normally take to blob? (mine is raising and lowering but not breaking off, been like that for about an hour, i've had it on for 4 hours)

2) what wattage bulb does it take?

3) there are a very few very small black specs in the lava, could this be from the coil?

and anything else you think would be handy for me to know

Cheers guys!

Hi Bohdan

Thanks as always.
Yeah, it has a dimmer. I think it is the original fill in the bottle, although I could un-screw the cap and it let out a little bit of a hiss.
I haven't checked the wattage of the bulb, I will of course follow your advise.
It seems fine, and the black specs are so very tiny and few that it really isn't noticable until you have your nose pressed against it!
I don't think there is much of a problem with it, just a bit of tuning required.
I'll let you know how I get on.
Thanks again
:)
