Found oozinggoo.com when I was looking for ways to repair the Grande I picked up at CostCo a few years ago. It's one of the Chinese made ones that has gone extremely cloudy and ceased to flow (going to try replacing the fluid one of these weekends).
It was here that I found out about really big Lava lamps. I was bowled over by videos of the Colossus lamps and really want to see if I could get one, I couldn't find them available anywhere so I wrote LavaLite. I wanted to let this group know what I got this from Lava Lite today:

So, there is a marble base and a black granite base...I think they just sold out of the granite. you may be in luck if you want marble.

My hubby just got off the phone with Susan, and the missing piece is missing from ALL of the table orders. She said that she had contacted the supplier, and "he was out until the 25th" so it looks as though we will be waiting until they come in. Susan said she would know more on the 25th, and she is sending out an e-mail to everyone who is getting a table. informing them of the current situation. But our lamp was sent out yesterday and we've got our tracking number now so hopefully we'll see it Friday.

A head's up to all of those who ordered a table. You may be missing a key piece (I was). There should be a metal ring that sits on the top of the base that helps support the table. Without out, the table has nothing to sit on and will slide onwards down the base, as the inner opening of the table is wider that the width of the top of the base. I have already reached out to Susan who opened a table and confirmed my summary above. She is reaching out to their supplier.

I haven't seen a tracking number, but did get the notice about the tables, so I now know she has my address correct. I'm trying to practice patience, it's not working really well.
Gwen just went to work. This is her husband Vernon. I didn't get it yet but once it had shipped I called Custom companies and they were able to find me in their system. They said it left their center yesterday and was in Minneapolis, and gave me the local distribution center. After calling them they said it was in transit to Duluth, and that it will be delivered by a local company. So we'll see it tomorrow. The company in Minneapolis thought it was funny that Custom Companies hadn't called yet.
No Problem, I'm used to doing my own tracking. Do it all the time with electrical audio components. As is Gwen! Happy Tracking!! ( also just googled where our lamp is heading to...... it's less than a mile away and we won't see it until tomorrow!!! how frustrating....)
The goo is supposedly a new batch, but the electrics and globe and China (NOS).

Ordered mine today silver base with purple/pink globe! I wanted a granite base but they are sold out. Can't wait to get it hope the globe is clear! I will post pics when I get it.
I'm so happy with my purple/yellow with silver base! It's mahvelous! The dimmer switch really helps control the flow -- love it.
Was balancing the risk of being perceived gluttonous versus my excitement to share with my fellow gooaholics, and decided to come down on the side of excitement. :>) Had to share!
I just got off the phone with Susan and order a clear/red with silver base. Hey, I've got a big house! She's going to ship it out on Monday, and if it works like the first one, I should get it by next Friday! No sitting in warehouses.
Susan tells me she's been very busy and is behind on answering messages. Says she wears lots of customer service hats and wants everyone to know that she's going to get caught up. She also shared that LL is not the same company they were 5 or 6 years ago -- new CEO with a focus on customer service. I think we are all lucky to have found a contact like her in the organization. She's going be a valuable resource for when we need something.
