I've tried different coils, removing the small coil, putting in new custom coils, slowly warming the wax for weeks - still my Purple/Pink has not responded.
It is just too sensitive to temperature changes in its environment - meaning it only runs well in a very narrow temperature range. I'm convinced its the bloody wax.
So, I've drained the liquid, and I'm in the process of melting the wax on the base. My plan is to goo kit it with clear liquid and that pretty neon blue everyone likes so much. This should be fun!

Lol awesome looks great
You were still there, but I thought you were blown up and freaked out. I had a nerve overload and went to bed, praying for your safety. I am an hour ahead of you, and thought the worst had befallen. LOL Good Grief that looks great, but still rather sinister.........

I'm still here. Had to go get me some protein. Ok - hot dogs. One of my favorite sources of protein. We continue to heat up, and the dome is looking larger -- goo is attached nicely to both coils. Usually, Colossus takes 6-8 hours to flow. We started at 9PM CDT. Its now a little after 2AM.
While I was eating my dogs (hot dogs, Libby), I opened up the Fantasia Fireball 1107s that I received in the mail today. What sweet, sweet lamps. Same base as the Firefly, but they were boxed as two lamps -- a set with an extra spray. The spray is a small, cute puff spray. The plugs and electrics look early. As do the sprays -- brass ends. The color wheels look hand painted, and the boxed set came with a replacement brass end spray. I guess in case something happened to one of the other two. Man, I love this hobby!

Send them to TN for safekeeping!!! hahahaha

Don't look now, but I couldn't wait for more goo on Monday, and it did need more goo. So, I removed some liquid and added in a quart of the original LL pink wax. A clear, pink Colossus sounds awesome, huh? Props to Jus for giving me the courage to do it!
It's adjusting now, but definitely flowing slowly. It was a bit invasive and I have a few pieces of wax sticking on the sides in places, but I think they'll go away when it runs a bit.
I'm going to change the red heat lamp bulb to a clear one so we can see the pink as it should be. Oh, and I'm getting some gorgeous lava tears since adding the LL pink in.
Pics/video coming... I want it to be good for ya'll!
See, I told you this was going to be fun!
I love it!!! It's fun now that I know you ain't blowed up and was just eating hot dogs at 2 (my 3) in the morning........I'd be dead if I did that, and I hate hot dogs anyway. LOL This is gettin better n better.

Mmmm, hot dogs! I've got some cold ones in the ice chest, it may be time for a snack.
Kirk, the pink sounds awesome indeed. That red bulb was definitely "coloring" the wax.

Keith, just make me a chili bun "without" the hot dog, please! Kirk should be throwing up about now from eating them at 2 in the morning. I'm waiting to see what he is doing to that lamp now.
No buns, no chili. Just the wonderful meat, well animal protein anyway.

Yep, Keith, I did throw up in my mouth, just a little.....how did you know? LOL You need to read the ingredients on those filthy hot dog packages. You're eating ground up road kill unmentionables, hahahahaha.
