My new Heritage neon green Grande just came and I can't wait to plug it up, but there's a cardboard covering over what is probably the dimmer switch wires up the inside wall of the base. It's right next to that 100 watt bulb, but it looks like it's on there really good. Am I supposed to take that off? Sorry for the dumb question. I don't want or need a fire, but this cardboard cover is fixed in there really good and when I barely pulled on it, it don't move. I've never seen this and don't know what to do about it.
I'll post some pics of all lamps when I get them going. All bases are perfect, the globes are too, and all are perfectly clear!! I'm very happy!

Thanks, Erin!! It is cardboard, but don't want to come loose by pulling. One could cut the tape, but I was afraid it was fixed so well that it was supposed to stay there. I guess since your safe and didn't have a fire, Heaven forbid, I'll leave mine on too!!! Thanks again! I can't wait to fire up this puppy!

I ran mine all last night with it in there...
Now I'm curious. Anything in the instructions about it?
I've just got them out of the box, and have the instruction book here now, let me look and see, be right back.
Edit: Not one word about that cardboard piece or unpacking at all.
I'm guessing the material is fire retardant Libby... Exited for you and look forward to photo's and errr video !!!
I would have gone for the green too.
I was hoping it was, Pete. Erin left it on her lamp all night while running, and all is well today, so it about has to be fire retardant. I hope!! Pics when all is going, but I still have not learned about the videos. That YouTube stuff got to me. I want to post them from my computer. LOL
The green looks great in the state it's in now, Pete. I can't wait to see it flowing though. I would love to have the pink too, if it flows as well as Erin's does!! And Blob's!!! Sorry, Blob, didn't mean to leave you out! I'm too excited to see this lamp.;-)
There's nothing like firing up a new lamp... I would be up all night watching it spike and tumble and flow...
No two are ever the same.........Enjoy !
I have no idea, Critter. I've never seen a neon green 52 oz. in person. Just pics. We'll see in a few hours, I just turned em on. But it's a very bright looking neon green just looking at the goo. And it's CLEAR!!! ;-))

Is the green color the same as the neon green 52oz or is it brighter?

I will be up all night, dear Pete!! I'm a night owl anyways, and now have very good reason to be tonight!! Thank you, my friend!
