Need a plastic screw-on cap for my 1975 Century

I am trying to bring my Century back to life.  I got it for my birthday when I was 14 and I've had it all these years.  It has languished in a closet for probably 20 years now and I've decided to get it back into shape.  It actually works as well as it did in the past (not perfectly, alas) but to begin to hopefully bring it back to life per some of the great information here, I first need to replace the screw-on plastic cap since mine is cracked.  I don't even need the o-ring, I can salvage that from the original.  I don't care about the appearance, I can always sand and repaint one.

 

I'll also be posting another thread to hopefully and successfully work through the other issues the lamp has.

Very hard to come by, Rich.  Your best bet would be to look on Ebay for a junker Century with a good cap.  You don't really see these caps separate from their globes.

I've been searching on ebay for a while now without much luck.  I'll keep looking I guess.  If anyone turns one up they can part with, please let me know!

I am always looking for caps too, they don't turn up, Kirk is right go for a junker lamp and part it out.

You think maybe a shot glass would work? A glass one wouldn't line up exactly but a plastic one just might work.......

NVM just seen it needed to be a screw on. Just so I'm clear you're needing the cap that covers the top of the globe, not the one that seals the globe.

Very true - I was lucky enough to have a baker's dozen at one point and they were quickly gobbled up by the other members on the site.

On these older models, the decorative cap screws on and also seals the globe.  There isn't a bottle cap type cap used in any way.

FYI:  I am still very interested in obtaining one or two Century screw on caps if anyone locates some and/or would like to part with one they might have.
