Did anyone get the purple/clear century? This is the one I was debating, but I haven't seen any pictures of it, or any reviews on the flow or anything. Is it decent? I want to get it, but then again I might want to just save and get a nice vintage purple/clear century.

I have am interested in a new Wizard, mostly for the base I guess, but I haven't seen much written other than the not so great flow. How is the build on this, especially compared to the older Wizards from the 90s? Does it have a bottom on the base or is it open to the surface it sits on? Does someone have more detailed photos? Any thoughts on my it doesn't seem to get hot enough?

I bought the purple/clear.  The 1st one was terrible, but Susan sent me a replacement about a month after when I called and this one was much better.  Its not 90's flow by any means but its way better than the 1st one was, and its better than the $24.99 ones at Spencers.  Still a lot of the lava wants to stay at the top but if you dim it down some once its going it flows pretty good.  Does require a break in though...the first few times the replacement wasn't much better than the 1st but then on the 5th or 6th cycle it took off.

So I got home from work on wed and found a surprise...a new heritage Grande was waiting for me.  I never did hear back via email from Susan but evidently she sent a new one out for me after I sent her the pics of my wax full of black flecks.  Haven't started it yet since there isn't enough time on weeknights for a proper cycle.  Probably will today or tomorrow, depending on if I end up going out tonight.  This one only has 1 coil, and as people mentioned the bulb is way higher...its basically as high as my original Grande that I put the socket extender on.  I'm surprised its not touching the globe.

Did anyone else who had a Grande replaced need to send their 1st one back?  I would think they would want the bad ones back...based on how much these cost, but there was no RA label in the box or anything.

Probably not cost effective for them to pay for return shipping compared the their cost for the globes.

my replacement neon grande flowed great for the first few times, but now it just shoots grapes.  it has one coil, so would adding another smaller coil help fix the problem?  geez...

Fired mine up for the first run today...it did warm up quicker than the original, this one was starting to flow in about 5 hrs, as opposed to 7-8 hrs on the other one.  So far so good...but you guys have me convinced its going to go into the pea shooter mode after the next few cycles :(

Sorry Brad

I would contact LL about any problems anyone has with their grandes. I was told to run mine for 4 days just turning it down to "simmer" at night . then leave it off for a day and try it after that . It might work for yours .

I have one. Cap and base are good quality. Globe was not. Base is flat on the bottom and has felt on it, so it's not open. A few of us got brand new ones with little scratches on the cap, but it's not too bad. I like the red one, honestly.

Let me know if you have more questions or want specific photos. I have a few here:

I also bought a new red Wizard with a damaged cap.

I received my replacement cap the other day from LL

(took two months).

The red globe never flowed well, so I bought a

red glitter from Kirk and it looks awesome !

Todd, same here! I have a red glitter from Kirk on my red Wizard too.

Welp...I didn't make it to 2 cycles....its pea shootin' tonight :(
