Hello all, I purchased a heritage century and the wax was of poor quality so I decided to replace it with a gookit. I currently have a lot of goo sticking at the bottom of the globe and it appears that it is not sticking to the coil. I followed the gookit tutorial and made sure that I cleaned the globe and coil well and coated them with surfactant before I poured in the goo. I used 15 mL of surfactant and Distilled water only. Should I dump out the wax and reclean with a degreaser? I still have some more goo wax that I can use.

Empty it all out and try again but don't discard the goo kit wax in there it is fine to use still.
Okay so I used WD-40 on the inside of the globe and I am redoing the process over. Hopefully it doesn't stick anymore. Thanks for the help Critter.
If you still have the sticking trouble, use some dish washing liquid, preferably Dawn(blue liquid). Add a small amount of water( half cup ) with several drops of Dawn in it to the empty bottle. Then swirl it around until the entire inside surface, especially the bottom half, is coated. Then fill the bottle all the way up with warm water, pour it all out slowly, and once it is empty your bottle is ready to have the goo put back in. This should stop any sticking problems. Dawn dw liquid is also a surfactant / degreaser , but it is more concentrated than typical gookit surfactant. It should create a nice friction free inner surface in your lamp.
