Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hi all

Are there any power issues with using a Mathmos in North America? I know it will need an adapter, but will it need a converter? Any input appreciated.

I use this step up transformer ebay item # 360813897335 and

a European power strip.  1500 watt resistive load is a bunch

of lava lamps. This way your not hacking the wiring on your lamp

and you keep it original but you need to stock up on 240v bulbs.

Thanks very much for the info.

Make sure that the transformer you use has at least double the combined wattage of the lamps that you will be using with it. ( to account for power spikes ) Example - You would need to use at least a 1200 watt converter to safely operate 6 Lunars that are each using 100 watt bulbs.

I use LiteFuze transformers as I think they are the best -

Universal power bars can be found on Ebay -

Thanks for the info guys.
