Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hi this is my first post,

i've been wondering -

would it be possible to make a lava lamp in a large but thin flat screen tank - let's say 90 cm x 120 cm x 1 cm? (or similar)

I'd be really grateful if someone might be able to tell me if this could work or not. And if not, why not

It would need to have seamless sides so the wax doesn't stick, and multiple heat sources underneath but I don't see why it couldn't be done.  Here is something similar that Dr. What!? made;

Thanks for your reply

I had the same idea for a long time, but I never tried to build it.

A real "Plasma TV" :-)

I thought about some long incandescent tube lamps as a heat source on the bottom, I see no reason it wouldn't work.

The only issue is to build the glass tank with heat resistant seals.
