Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

i've got this going on with my crestworth telstar... it did it a bit before i changed the liquid in it, but now it's doing it an awful lot.

the liquid's balanced just fine and the bits of lava that aren't touching the glass go up and down just right, but quite a large part of it sort of crawls up on side of the flask.

some of you guys must have seen this problem before? can someone tell me what's going on here? and what i can do about it?

Hi,

I have a smililar problem with my Coach Lantern with green/clear liquid. Not sure how to correct it though. My vase is a replacement by the way so not that old.
