Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hey guys! Anyone have some good experience with fluorescent GooKit colors (blue and green)? I just refurbed a grande lamp using the fluorescent blue dye and am trying to figure out the best way to show it off--will it work well with a black light flood light in the base or is my best option a stick black light behind it?

Also, I love the white color during the daylight, but would it affect the fluorescent-ness if I added just a tad of regular blue dye? I'm also thinking about adding a drop or two of blue food coloring to the water.

Thanks for any tips/suggestions!

How have you guys fixed this?

Thank you guys so much for the tips and suggestions. The ceramic heater and blacklight work great!

THat looks awesome

glad it worked out for you. If the ceramic heater tends to get too hot you can use a dimmer on those.

Congratulation your lamp is awesome, it looks like a new life form found on Neptune from a deep space salvage tug kept

in it's cryo tube 4 the long trip to earth for us mortals to gaze upon and study. Top notch, this lamp wets my appetite 4 1

myself.

you could also try lowering the amount of wax in the container.
