Clear/Black not so clear

Hi all, i finally got around to buying a clear/black 52oz that ive been wanting for a while but wasnt really trusting china lava lamps but it seemed there was really no other choice... so i went ahead and bought it online and it just arrived here today and i was not surprised at all by it arriving cloudy. i fired it up about 30 minutes ago and im waiting to see if the flow is at least nice. if it is then this lamp might still live! ive succesfully cleared abour 4 other lamps by just running it normally and they cleared to almost 100% clear in about a week or a little bit more. However those were all american lamps and i only have 2 other china lamps and both were storebought so they were crystal clear... so wish me luck guys! i would really like this to work!

well im running it now for the first time so it hast cooled down yet. i will check that out when it cools down though.the flow isnt great either so far. im hoping that it gets better.. it just shoots up one big thick column through the middle and it goes up VERY VERY slowly and then goes back down without letting a blob out or maybe a small one.

alright ill let it get nice'n'hot today and see if flow gets better throughout the day.... it seems like its waking up now... and then ill check for that dye and call them if it has that dye at the bottom...

That is sad.. its really sad how the quality of these lamps decayed... real sad.. american lamps that were made WAY back in the day are still flawless and chinese lamps dont last more than a couple of years.. sad sad sad... This clear black started off with a REAL crappy flow.. it was completely molten and it wouldnt flow.. now its flowing quite nicely. but its still very very clouded... i doubt it will clear since there are LOTS of that white dye at the bottom.. i dont even know where it comes from.. the lava is black, and the liquid is clear... where does the white come in?
