Question About My New Crestworth Living Jewel Nordic Deluxe

I just obtained a Living Jewel off ebay, which is still wired for the United Kingdom. I'm trying to rewire to US, but I can't seem to figure out how to open the base up. I don't want to damage it, so any info would greatly be appreciated.

Can you post a picture of the base?  I'm guessing you'll need to use a blow dryer or heat gun to get the base loose from the metal edges.  To put it back, you may need to use some glue (epoxy).

The metal half may also be glued into the base like the older Crestworth Jets.  Look at this discussion, too.

My pleasure, Ben.
