I think that's a song by Meatloaf..... Anyhow, my problem is out of these four lamps, two of them REFUSE to flow!!!! They all have the same bulbs, and have been on for the same amount of time, but the middle two just sit there. All the wax is at the top and won't even sink down. It appears to be trapped by the "waist" of the bottle and can't get down to the heat to melt. Any ideas how to fix this? I love this style lamps, but they're making me nuts!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

By reflectors do you mean the bulbs that are flat on the top and go down in a V shape? If so, that is what I have in these. The bottles feel very hot, but the wax just won't melt..... Any ideas how to get the wax back down where it belongs?
These lamps have been running for about 8 hrs when this photo was taken, and the wax at the top won't liquify. I even had a towel over them for an hour or two...no luck from that either. Do you think that I need to pour them out and add new wax and water? I hate to do that....the colors are so pretty.

The bottom of the top layer of wax looked a little wet, like it wanted to flow...but it still wouldn't drop down with the rest of the wax. The wax on the bottom isn't flowing at all. Should I leave the towel on them for a longer period of time?

I just went through this process with a 32 oz blue/white globe from a "lavalamp" phone I picked up at a yard sale (5 dollars, thank you very much, along with a lavender/white swirl base with lavender/white globe, for ONE dollar. lol). Just as you suggested, Bohdan, I tilted the globe and eventually turned it upside down. One thing to be careful of, when the plug of solid lava gives, you may have an air bubble rush up to the :"bottom" (I did). I let the bottle cool for about 12 hours and then started again. Perfect flow with no problem! Yeah!

Hey-
I just discovered this website. Great! I have this model lava lamp and have enjoyed it for the past 5 years or so. Light bulb has burned out, but I cannot figure out how to remove the globe so that I can get to the bulb to replace it! Can anyone give me some help here?

Give it a slight twist to break it loose in case it's stuck then pull up on the globe. Seriously... It won't break unless you are using your superman strength.

sit down next to it, rotate the heaat until the "bottleneck" heats up enoght to allow the lava to drop
