oh my bubbles in my goo

What causes this and is there a way to get rid of the bubbles in my goo

I am struggling with this problem as well in my 52 oz. yellow lava/purple liquid lamp. On similar threads, the advice has typically been to let it run normally and the problem will go away in time. Don't know how successful that has been, but I hope it works for me.
