Thanks critter! I was thinking about the color coming from the bottom , as well as the possibility of a coating on the outside of the bottle. If you made a smooth color changing rainbow wheel with clear dots spaced around it, would the effect be a bright moving point of light (in a fiber optic lamp that is).

I have a clean crack in the wheel... is there a way to repair it or should I just replace it?   Are these easy to remove and replace?  I haven't fiddled with the lamp.  It was such a great find at the back of a Goodwill store... It works other than the wheel problem.

If so I would be interested in purchasing several of them.

I have 3 Cosmos, 3 Solar1's, 3 Regencies, and 5 Sunbursts, and I would like to make a few of them more unique looking.

I am just worried that I may not possess the technical skill required to install a new color wheel and I am scared that I might break my lamp while trying to do so!

Hello, its been a while. My apologies for the delay in responding to everyone's requests. I do still make these replacement wheels. I am working on a fresh batch of wheels and should be ready to go again in a week or so. I have new patterns to select from. I will upload those pics to this listing tomorrow. I no longer sell through ebay so i will conduct business via paypal. The wheels cost $20.00 plus shipping, figure on $ 3-5 for shipping. Multiple wheels will be shipped together.

Mike high, these wheels are easy to switch out. The worst part to worry about changing the old wheel from the lamp is the possibility that the existing wheel will crack and break during removal because they are glass, my replacements are made from a thick plexiglass that is durable against heat and cracking, other than that i provide detailed instructions for changing out the wheels. The wheels will fit all of the models you listed above because the inside workings for each of those lamps is identicle.

Hey there! I just responded to you via email. These wheels are very easy to install. The worst/tricky part is removing the old wheel. The replacement wheel will ship with instructions on how to install the new wheel.

Might be obvious to some but a tip for when you install a new colourwheel is make sure the painted side of the glass is facing away from the bulb.

The replacement color wheels are back!!! I'm sorry that life got a hold of me and wouldn't let go! Super busy!! However I'm happy to say that I got a whole new batch of color wheels made up and the listing is officially back up on eBay for those of you interested. Thank you all for your patience!
