Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Apparently, Lava Lite (or Lifespan brands now) made some lamps in a generic China bullet style. Based on the packaging, I'd say around mid 2000s. I just though it was strange to see that they did go away from the copyrighted style they've done since the 70s, even if it was just for a year or two. These pictures were pulled from LetGo which, by the way, can be a great source for lava!

I remember seeing these at Big Lots. Part of me thinks they were actually Chinese knockoffs that only lasted a little while before LL caught on and sent them a cease and disist. LL lamps are made in the same factory in china as a lot of the knockoffs, so it could have been a genuine packaging mistake. Still funny, none the less.
