Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Looking for a Shatterline Fibre Optic Lamp Spray....or some ideas!

Bought one with a spray that had collapsed (appears to be very common with these), and looking for a replacement.

Or....some ideas about how I could bridge the gap between a spray that is too short and the bulb.

The one in the picture is a plastic spray from a UFO lamp which fits perfectly, and really looks the part.

Unfortunately the base isn't long enough enough, so the colours aren't very vivid.

I've tried a glass guitar slide, and a piece of acrylic tube (although the ends weren't polished) and neither really made much of a difference.

It's a nice lamp, but the fact that the shatterline section of the lamp also lights up means that the fibre optic spray appears even dimmer than it would if it was darker.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
