Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hi

I recently received an orange Haggerty lava lamp from this catalouge http://www.groovee.com.au/category18_1.htm

One thing i have noticed is the presence of spicks and specks of dust and little tiny hairs floating in the liquid. When it is first turned on, all of this debris can be seen resting on top of the lava. Is this normal? I do not have a camera with a high enough resolution to show it.

note: the amount of dust is fairly small, but enough to ruin the 'clear' appearance of the liquid.

had this happen to me. it is a bad batch and needs to be sent back.
If i ordered another lamp, of the same color, from the same store. Am i likely to receive another one with a similar problem?
Unfortunate situation, mainly because there are only 2 colors still available.

Do you know of any other online stores that ship to Australia, that don't charge a fortune for shipping?

your assistance is appreciated ;-)
Hopefully. It would be a real pain to have it happen again, as this store has terrible customer service. Several weeks ago i emailed them asking them if they would be re-stocking any other colors, still no response :(
