Triton X-100 vs. kit surfactant

Gookits include a bottle of generic surfactant.  I have a bottle of Triton X-100.  Is this the same thing as in the Gookit?   Am wondering if surfactant amounts mentioned in the thread below would be the same for Triton X-100.
