Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I've had this lamp for more than two months and only recently has it had bubbles form throughout the lava. I'm not sure why this has occured, but I am now cycling the lamp in hopes of fixing the problem. What I'm wondering is, why are the bubbles forming and what can I do to prevent this?

Okay, guys. The bubbles will not go away and now it's happening to two of my lamps. 'Tis a plague! Can I get some help? Thanks.
I'm running the lamps at about three or four hours each time.
When I first got this lamp, it didn't do this. On the other hand, my other lamp is new... Big relief! Now, why would my 52 oz do this now?
Yes, USA globe... Why?
I hope it works out for mine!
