Can I use Sodium Coco Sulfate instead of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate to repair my lava lamp?

Hi everyone!

I can't buy SLS where I live, but there are two other options: Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) and Sodium Coco Sulfate (SCS). I have read that someone tried SLES and got poor results compared to SLS, but couldn't find any information on SCS. Has enyone tried it?

SLES is a viable option

I've tried both SLS and SLES and I have not yet noticed a difference. Not saying there isn't one, but they seem similar enough. You can give SCS a try and if it works report back. If not dump it out and try again.

I just made a lamp using SLES and it worked fine. no cloudiness, and flows great.
