Well, I'm also 47 to be honest. The mocking with the grandparents was a bit of dramatization...
But please take something more witty than Ramones or Sex Pistols.
You know the Einstürzende Neubauten? A German Band that would fit artistically perfect for this "lack & leather LavaLamp". One of the most distinct and brilliantly genius bands of all times. But the name's maybe a bit too long to engrave :-)
Distillers are worth mentioning, but if I was to etch Brody's face onto the globe, I'm afraid nobody would recognize her.
and I'm 60...LOL
Ramones, Pistols, Kennedys? Come on guys, these are great legends, but bands our grandfathers used to listen to...
The Distillers - clearly the greatest US punk combo of the past 20 years!
P.S.: your lamp looks really, really cool!
How could I forget Billy Idol on that list?
With a rebel yell, I want more more more. I assume you know who sung that.
Pretty cool and rebellious!
Oh, I get it.I do have a dozen or so 2" Spikes that looked too extreme to use on the outside.they are stainless but screws are not.
I'll have to dig through my stainless screw collection and wrap them with stainless wire to insert into the globe
(Which I need bty, that globe has hairline cracked around the lower 1/3 of the bottom and only usable for glow stones or marbles.)
Well I meant make something that could be put in from the top, not drilling the glass
Just a thought because if it worked out it would be really interesting.
I can drill glass, ...
but is it worth it?
Instead of the coil, use stainless steel studs like that for a heat transfer element
(not responsible for any globe failures resulting in said experiment) ;)
