Hi All,
I recently purchased a 52 oz red/clear Lava Lite unit at Spencers. At the advice of several members here, I returned the unit as the liquid had "white flakes" floating around when heated up. I exchanged it for the 52 oz orange/purple liquid unit.
This new lamp is quite beautiful, with awesomely clear liquid and almost transparent wax! My only issue is there seems to be some kind of residual wax (or something) on the lower inside of the globe - kind of…

A very warm welcome Harry. Yes, lava lamp collecting is very addictive. I'm still hooked at well over 100 down the line.
I do find time to dig those 70's sounds too. Probably my favourite decade!
