Not sure how many were built of that model but I don't think it was that many as they were they were pretty much high end of the lava lamp range at that time and yes they are pretty scarce today. I was very fortunate to find one a short while ago and got it extremely cheap however it needs a lot of work. AC
Hmmm, a pic would be cool. Sometimes older models which have had a lot of past useage won't perform so well but yours sounds ok. Not sure about the graininess though. Perhaps create a topic thread here?
