Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hello folks,

I have a suspicion that only 1st Edition Fluidiums (Cap/Base)

are UV Reactive (however later models are definitely not!).

Can anyone with a first edition Yellow Fluidium test this theory?

Also, does anyone know if the yellow wax is UV reactive too?

Hoping someone can help me out here - I am really into UV lava lamps.

Regards, Simon

As far as I know the yellow wax isnt uv reavtive, the green fluidium is though and also the orange wax from the dayglo jets is uv reactive...glowing sort of greenish when under uv lights.

Thanks Arne!

Proved myself wrong about only first edition fluidium base/caps being UV reactive.

Picked up an Opal Fluidium - with original blue & red bulbs - with a Lovegrove bottle - and it wasn't glowing ;o(

Ordered a clear-yellow fluidium bottle though ;o)

Fluidium Yellow wax - Clear is UV Reactive

- but glows nearly exactly the same colour as the Green-Clear!
