Here are a few pics I took today of this lamp where the fog or haze or smear or whatnot shows up. I was discussing it in the comments on the video Samantha posted (link below).

Here are a few more showing it perfectly clear (note there is a lamp lit next to it for the 2 flowing pics, and the 1st one was taken w/ the flash on the camera...no fog shows up)
See how towards the bottom of the globe it kind of looks like the "Northern Lights" somewhat? That's the fog/haze I'm referring to w/ this globe.
Thanks for the info...we did look at it at the store too...but I didn't catch that. I mainly was focusing on how many of the little white dots it had...the first one we pulled out looked like that old windows screen saver w/ the stars that came at you...so did the 2 I had just taken back. It's a shame there is no QC w/ the glass quality anymore.
Usually, any wax residue will burn off after a few runs of new China. The glass marks are unfixable.
It's hard to see these marks until the lamp is lit up, unfortunately.
The problem I have, is when it spikes, or the wax tip's white heating i get the streaks of wax on the globe all over again.
