Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I've seen the Fireflows on ThinkGeek, but their photos sent by users seem to represent the colors differently; the pink looks almost like a raspberry red. Does anyone here have photos of the four colors in a dimly-lit environment, showing how much (or little) they glow? Not necessarily side-by-side. I want to buy one or two of them for my patio, and I want to have an idea of what the colors really look like. The area will be dimly-lit, the only light coming from some colored pagoda lamps strung overhead and a few illuminated fountains.

Also: Is there any way anyone has found to keep light breezes from whipping into the base opening and blowing them out when used outdoors, on the rocket style? Is this even an issue? And how easy is it for the rocket Fireflow to tip over, or for the globe to be knocked out of the base? Is there a way to make them more stable?

How do Fireflows handle a light breeze? If they're easy to blow out, is there any way to modify them easily?

If I buy just one, it'll be turquoise. If I buy two, I'd probably like pink or purple as the other. Astro, do you think pink is anywhere near the same brightness, or is it significantly less? And does purple glow at all in the dark? Or is green a better counterpoint color, brightness-wise?
You mean like a little glass candle cup that fits in the base?
Hi jonas I have all the colours including the glitter bootle in my photos, feel free to have a look, they are not in low light but the colours are pretty spot on.

hope this helps

Thanks a lot! Yep, decision is made. If I buy one, blue. Two, blue and pink. Glad to hear the legs have rubber feet.

These'll be competing for attention a bit; they'll be on a table on my deck that will also have two holes cut with kind of showy, sparkly fountain sprays in them.
All of 'em are available on the Mathmos website, which does sell in the US. ThinkGeek has them at half the price, but only the silver rocket model and only in lava.
