time flies as they say, doesnt seem that long, been ups and downs like all groups, back when mathmos ruled and lava world when to china, such a shame that even after all this time our american friends still have to put up with non flowing brand new cloudy lamps :-(
But on a positive note a great site for imfo and oddities in the world of lava
I found OG in October of 2008 (or did OG find me? lol). I jumped right in with both feet and have enjoyed all the information, humor, and camaraderie. Endured squabbles, bannings, and differences of opinion. Shared in sadness, loss of loved ones, loss of pets, and even loss of lamps.
I am thankful for all of the tips and methods I have learned and even been able to share here. Glad for friends made and being able to encourage others in their collecting. I've even learned to moderate my enthusiasm, after learning that members have "gotten in trouble" for buying too many lamps!
I am glad to be a member here, where lava lovers are a family.
I joined this website in 2005, when I was only 17 lol. When I joined, I was a tad immature lol, but I remember some pretty cool people... Osolava, Weebotech, Astrobaby, and a few others I can't remember. I don't visit this site too frequently, but when I do, something always grabs my attention.
I remember Bumpkin from 2008. She was so nice, but sick. She lived in Central California. I know she had cancer. Hope she is ok.

Yes, lots of the old names no longer contribute or are here at all. Knew Astrobaby well and also Jen (Osolava), a really lovely person. There was also Woodvetch, Bumpkin and Bohdan, an ultimate collector of everything lava to name a few. Where do they go, who knows. Miss those guys and loads of others too.
