How to change cloudy liquid in a vintage glitter lamp

Anyone know how to change the liquid and what type to use in a vintage glitter lamp.

This is the cylindrical one about 16" tall.  I believe it's from the 60's or 70's.  Sorry, but the smallest picture my iphone would do won't load here.

It works fine, just over the last year, the liquid has gotten cloudy and you cannot even see much glitter when the flakes are at the top.

I am not even sure if you can open this thing!!

Please let me know.

Thank you!!

P.S.  After looking around some more it appears to be a Fantasia glitter lamp from the late 70's or early 80's...

im guessing its a solvent based glitter lamp, to be honest you'd be better of refilling the whole bottle, Goolamp marcel on here does refill's for glitter lamps and does a fast moving liquid and good value for money, i think in the long term that be your best option as to try and make a fluid that will suspend the glitter you have in it wont be easy to do
