Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Just to be sure that I am on the right track, do you think if I would buy this it would be equal to or better than getting a goo kit?

Just make sure the wax is paraffin wax. For surfactant you also might want to look in to glycerin.
you will also need some perc, salt and possablie other items - check out the retro formular - http://www.oozinggoo.com/ll-form5.html
Isn't a goo kit about 35 bones?
Not too mention simple to do, and a hell of a lot less frustration!! :-)
$50 with shipping for a goo kit. The most expensive thing is the surf, but it comes with gallon so I wouldn't have to use much. I was on the patent page and it was saying if you use 70% water and 30% propylene glycol it would work but I am not sure if that page is flawed. Also the wax says its " first grade paraffin wax." Has any here ever tryed the propylene glycol?
The goo kit is just as simple as what I listed. You have surf, wax, water, wax dye. It can't be that frustrating (if it works). And worst case scenario I just use water salt and a little soap. I have never done anything like this, I am just assuming on things I have read but it doesn't seem like it is that hard to get it going.
I fully support your efforts and look forward to seeing how you fare!
I wrote that and yes it is flawed. I was never able to figure out the formula, but I got a good start.

PG works bought a gallon for 29 bones. Don't you also need bee's wax to give the parafin wax some opacity , otherwise wax will be clear in your globe.

I had no idea about that. Can you link me to a thread about it?
