WTF ? ... flowing ? as in snakey or as in blobs ?

okay so I just pulled a really dumb ass stupid move, I took my green v2's globe off the base and was "swiriling" it to see if I could pop sum of the bubbles and and get the mass of goo to stick to the coil properly...well, when I was done I went to put it back on the base and my hand slipped!!!! the globe hit the rim of the base and put a nasty dent in it . so after trying in vain to get the dent out I said "wtf ever" and put the globe back in the base and walked away. 10 min later I passed by it and to my surprise its flowing perfectly! don't know what the impact did (if anything) but yay! all be it im still pissed at my self about the dent though lol.

maybe the impact bumped the voltage back up? maybe it knocked the crud off the coil allowing it to stick better? who f'ing knows! but I hope it keeps flowing!

Hey we all have accidents , just glad you didnt drop the globe on the floor and really mess it up ! i find that my neons are VERY HOT and still not much more than pea shooters after 10-12 hrs . the instructions say they run best at 68 deg, if it was 68 deg in my house they would never run ! .

I had some 52oz Neons do the pea-shooter thing when the lava detached from the coil. So the lamp and globe were as hot as normal, but the lava wasn't getting the extra heat kick that the coil provides.
I've had a similar problem when the wax comes off the coil in smaller lamps, these though don't seem to be detaching. At least mine isn't bcuz I checked. I'll swirl it anyways though, maybe it'll help. I'm thinking about dropping a second coil into the v2 globe..
Shit happens, just flip the base lol solved ;)

Sorry I don't feel like running through 98 pages of reviews & complaints to get the answers to my questions, but...

I'm wanting to get my 18 y.o. son one of the Neon Green Grandes soon, how are they owners? Do they run well? Is shipping ridiculous?

I'm not sure if color matters.  My v2 green is flowing normally whily my v2 pink is doing the pea shooter thing.

imo, green isint the best choice. ive been having issues with mine. heat times, "pea shooter" flow and bubbles (as have others) but some have no probs at all and mine seems to be resolving itself. my pinks on the other hand are flawless but what 18yo boy wants pink? lol ;)

Yeah, I couldn't tell if the lava in the pea-shooting grande is detaching from the coil or not.  I just know that the pea-shooting flow I'm seeing now very very similar to my 52oz Neons when they detached from the coil.  So to me, it seems the lava isn't getting hot enough.  But I'm no chemical engineer.

I guess I'll play around and set my house thermostat up this weekend to see if warmer ambient air helps.

How long did it take you guys to get your lamps when you ordered them? Anyone here from IL who ordered? Just curious I finally ordered one and that was last Friday.

Wish I could offer some feedback, but we picked up in person (in order to save shipping fees and eliminate shaken lamp syndrome).

I finally got a refund on my yellow/red Heritage Century.

I run the red Heritage Wizard at work every day. It's decent, but takes a long time to get going.

My two Grandes are still in good shape, though I don't run them much. They still have very small wax smears on the glass, but are barely noticeable.

So that's my update!

My Grande pink has been switched on, at full power, for over a month. Occasionally the action snows down when there's a draft, but most of the time it just keeps giving me incredible flow. I couldn't possibly be happier. The star-like hole pattern is charming.
