Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I thought I'd start a post on neat / rare eBay lava and glitter sales. Sometimes it's nice to remember the sale of a really cool or hardly-seen item.

Please only post completed/closed eBay auctions - please don't post any open sales!

I'll start off with the Princess wall model lava that sold tonight. Anyone here get this? :)

If you post to this thread with a completed auction, please try to include a screen shot, not a link. After so many months eBay removes auctions and for historical purposes, it'd be nice to see what sold.

Jim what was the BIN price originally?

Yea - would love to know details myself on this one.  Had considered making a run and bought myself some time by screwing the BIN option and placing the first bid.  You're welcome to the seller and sorry to the winning bidder .  Neat looking lamp though!

Never seen one like this before. Anyone know anything about it?

I thought the original purchase receipt from 1968 and other papers and box was interesting

Matt they look to be nice lamps but not particularly rare or "neat" They should clean up nicely though.

Yeah that is kinda cool. Looks like '69 to me on the receipt. However I bet that lamp is a year or two older and either it sat in Lava Lite ' s warehouse before selling or it may have been the receipt for another lamp. The lamp in the pic has a two part base and those were just a bit pre '69. Though not mega rare a nice old lamp for sure.

Nice score Matt!!!!

A while back I got this weird base on eBay. It had a flimsy plastic color wheel but no top. For the life of me, I could not figure out what it was. I even posted on here and no one had any idea. In all the time I've been on this site, I've never seen or heard of this lamp, but as soon as I saw it on eBay this week, I knew that's the base I had (I've since sold it - it didn't work with anything I had).

I've never seen or heard of this before. Looks kinda cheesy, but would love to see it action.

Anyone have any info on this lamp?

S'cuse me bumping an old thread, but those were a very short-lived 90s thing, Erin. Knock-off of the old Silver Spinner Kaleidolite. One of those novelty lights Lava was making en masse for Spencer Gifts. It did a very poor-looking color-change.

Thanks, as always, for the info Jonas! Now I don't feel too bad for parting with that base.

It wasn't a loss, no.

I saw this lamp on Ebay a few days ago. Did anyone on here win it? Pretty good buy whoever did!

That was me! I'm really happy about this one!!! Can't wait to get it!!!

Here's another gem that sold today. There have been quite a bit of Enchantress Planters in good condition for sale on ebay recently. Isn't lime/green a rare combo?

Hey Jonas - What do you think?  It definitely looks like the Lime/Green color combo which would be the rare combination.  Great spot and call Alex!
