As has been rumoured for a while I think, Mathmos confirmed today on their Facebook page that new colourways are to be released across the range in the coming weeks, starting with yellow/pink now offered on the Neo
Will be interesting to see what else they come up with - dare we get excited?

Would be disappointing if it was just one, particularly considering the Astro has had quite a few colourways recently dropped (clear/turquoise, clear/pink, yellow/turquoise, red/pink)
On a side note, the blue/ pink would look good with the ‘electric blue’ anodised base, but - wouldn’t you know it - it’s been dropped!
Also new blue/ yellow on the Astrobaby/ Telstar.
Tempted by the violet/ turquoise on the Astro, does look particularly good with the copper base.
Wax does seem to look quite dark on their images though, more like dark blue than turquoise - wether or not that has any bearing on reality is anyone’s guess.
I jumped all over this. Will be fluid swapping a blue/yellow and clear/plum.
Yeah, main reason is to get a clear/yellow, but the blue/plum will likely be very dark and look best in a bright room and/or with light behind it or an extremely dark room. I like my yellow/plum I made in a past swap op.

I think the blue plum could be very interesting. Let us know how it goes and what its like.
I love the blue/pink also! Now I have to buy the new colors.

New Violet Turquoise available for astro.
Blue yellow now available for astrobaby and telstar.
Thank you Mathmos for listening. I asked for violet turquoise a while back.
Fantastic colours. I love my new blue pink its amazing.
I would love to see pictures of the color combinations you mentioned. So, if i understand you correctly, all you are doing is moving the fluid from one bottle to the other? Is there anything else that needs to be done during the process? Or is it just that simple?

I did a neo swap a few months ago. A yellow orange and a violet turquoise, became a yellow turquoise and a violet orange, much better IMO.
You can also mix blue and yellow masterfluid to get a lovely shade of green. Ive done a yellow orange and a blue green astro to get green orange which is stunning and a green green which I used as a replacement for my red flock astro.
Thanks for the reply. I am going to have to buy two bottles and try swapping the fluids.

Yes, just swapping the fluid, not touching the wax. Just release the caps gently by running under hot water, then, remove the fluid into some really clean containers, then swap or mix and very gently replace into the bottles. Put the caps back on tightly.
I would like to see some new candle lamp bottles. 4 options between 4 different lamps is simply not enough. I really like the fireflow and pod lamps. Its like a quick fix lava lamp, when you want just a few hours of lavaness. I have also done some colour swaps on these too. A pink blue and a blue yellow, became a pink yellow and a blue blue. I thought the blue blue would be very dark but actually it is very nice clear and watchable. The pink yellow is fantastic really vibrant and colourful.
Well, I bought the new blue-yellow Astrobaby bottle and it`s a bit disappointing:
Compared with the all time running classic blue-green there`s not really a big difference.
So I think I will also try the swapping, cause yellow wax is exciting, and was only seen with the dayglow jet I think?
What I really do miss is the pink-white they once had (see attached pic)
- if anyone of you has this princess and wants to sell it, or maybe swap it - please write me!!
Thanks for posting your thoughts. I am going to wait on buying that color combination. I already have a blue-green.
I bought a Neo yellow-pink and it looks just like my Astro Baby yellow-red. I was disappointed.

Must say this has been disappointing so far, having only seen one actually new colour, with the rest being ‘cross-overs’ from other models, and even the new colour isn’t particularly distinctive - I wonder if there are still more colours to come?
I hope they would at least make the ‘one day one-offs’ a more regular thing, if they must insist on being so unadventurous with their main colour lines.
On a side note, has anyone got the turquoise/ violet Astro bottle yet? I thought this combination looked quite nice/ vibrant on the Neo, but the Astro variant seems to look much darker, going by Mathmos’ visuals anyway:

Yes, I got mine the other day and it’s one of the best Mathmos colors I’ve ever seen. Their video doesn’t do it justice. It’s not all that dark. Blue/Blue is way darker. I did take a photo of it running the other day.
