Okay, I want a Telstar!

So how hard is it going to be to get one in the US? I would prfer an older one. Would it be advisable to have one shipped from the UK? Would it survive the journey? Is there someone here who could help me in my quest as a severe stary eyed begginer!?

Astrobaby....Thanks a bunch. Thought they were going extinct! Other than the color scheme, are these simular to the older Telstar lamps in terms of styling and build quality? Thank you for the heads up.

Excellent Astrobaby. That's it. I ordered 2 of them. I do love the looks of them. Lots of personality. Do the caps thread on or are they crimped like the American make equivelants?

I was really hoping to buy a Telstar from one of the members here, and forge 2 frienships, but silly me.......Who in their right friggin mind would sell one of their family members! HA! HA!

The only color they had was clear juice and white lava. Still looking on Ebay, but just unsure of buying used without more knowledge.

I'd certainly be interested in viewing first before ebay! I've got a bid on a telstar right now for fairly cheap, but that could change and in a way I hope I get outbid because I feel nervous about having someone ship overseas when there's no way of insuring against damage!
