Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

not sure if im just heavy handed or cant count seconds, when i touch my pad to switch of it dims so i lift my finger of and before i know it its came back on,  sometimes when it dims right down to of it hasnt gone right of, theres still a little glow,

when finely switched of i always turn the mains of b4 bed, when i switch back on at the mains it flashes one colour, then another , then switches of.

is it me or do anyone else have problems with the on/off button

yes mine gets hot and dont leave any of them transformer plugs switched on if not in use, i still have lots of bubbles n grainy wax which i hope will go with use, i find it funny when its been on hours yet the bottle is luke warm
My button is fine I haven't had any trouble with that. My transformer is warm as well but only the same as some of the others I have. I have finally got the wax flowing well but had to put it in front of the fire to do so. My wax is also grainy and even has a couple of large bits in it.
We've found that our transformers get hot, not just warm. When I want to use the lamps I plug them in and when I've finished using them I unplug them to turn them off, then leave them unplugged.

When I plugged them in yesterday, one of the lamps went mad and was flicking from colour to colour, then it settled down.

My second lamp has a loose heating plate, when I first turned it upside down to put the power lead in, the heating plate fell out of the base. I pushed it back in making sure that the wires were clear of the plate as I did it.
mine did the flicker of colours as well susan, i havent got a loose heating plate

They might do that as they are sorting the fazing out as they are turned on, it isn't anything I'm worried about.
Hopefully this is not going to be a problem but it seems there may be issues with the heating plate/transformer by more than one person already. Watch these lamps closely, they should be perfect without flaws.
