Yep, there's a silver Starship Grande, minus cap, in my local Goodwill, which is Renton, WA. They want $70 for it. Globe is cloudy yellow/blue. Are these indeed hyper-rare? Does anybody want it? I could pick it up for someone. Photos linked below.
If I did get it, I'd have to go Sunday, hopefully it'd still be there.

Would look awesome next to my Mathmos IO and all my other Grande's and Mathmos lava lamps.
I know I was the first to ask about buying the starship. Hope to buy it.

I'm still sincerely interested in the Grande Starship
Please reach out
Don't know what happened. Maybe he's been busy. I've been interested also.
Any update on this?
Hi all - I'm so sorry for the delay in getting back to this. I didn't know exactly what I was going to do with it, since it's such a unique piece.
I have not gone through the forum rules yet, to see if this is allowed; but I want to do a bidding process, with 100% of that money going to a Covid relief charity.
Any chance there is a moderator, that can give me the green light to do an auction on here? Still working on the particulars. I'll find a good charity, with a contribution page. After the bidding, the winner will donate that amount, and send me the digital receipt, and then I'll ship it out.
Thoughts?
For me, it's going to depend on the particular charity.

Yeah, I had not factored in thinking about a potential political rift that a Covid charity could flare up.
So, proceeds would go to the World Wildlife Fund. (https://gifts.worldwildlife.org/gift-center/one-time-donation.aspx) Winner could enter the funds themselves via the link above, or I can do it for the winner, after a paypal/venmo/digital transfer of funds. Price would include shipping (assuming no bottle)
(All of this is assuming mods are OK with a bid/auction on the site)
Sounds good to me. Just let us know when the bidding starts.

If I were to win I would rather send you the funds to your PayPal and just have you donate it. It would be easier that way so we don't get anything wrong.
