Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hello again!

Another question for a different lamp. I bought a Wizard off eBay a few weeks ago with the plan the empty the spent glitter globe (the multicolor glitter is all gross and the mirror finish eroded off), and after cleaning, replace the insides with a goo kit I ordered.

Glitter globes have that stopper underneath the bottle cap, I assume that’s separate from the cap? Would I just remove and put it aside in case I ever needed it again (if it’s in good shape)?

Is there anything else I should know before going in to this? I already have the dimmers, and clamps to reseal the cap, as well as stainless steel wire I plan to fashion into my own coil for the bottom.

Thanks again!
