2009.07.31 1987 Lava Lite

This is one of two Enchantress models I own from 1987. They were purchased from Spencer's after falling in love with my friend's Century model he received for Christmas.

Comment by LavaMeister on August 13, 2009 at 6:51pm: I haven't had a chance to update the details on my photos yet, but I actually have two of them. I bought them in 1987 at Spencers for $39.99 each. Back in the day they actually made a quality product in the USA. Here's the sad part. On the second photo of the three lamps together in my photo album.....the one on the right is the same model with the liquid/lava switched out for two 20oz lamps. The one on the left now has the remaining liquid/lava after several filtrations of the liquid after my lovely wife decided to whack the original while cleaning and yes, it had been on and quite hot for several hours. I guess some people just don't listen when you tell them not to disturb the lamp. Anyway, I"m on the hunt for a vintage replacement globe if anybody knows of one. My wife heard about it for a good four days. I was devastated! But hey, you just gotta love your spouse anyway. I wouldn't trade her for the world.
