The white cap is barely down into the Jet's base, Loren. I'll post one more pic.

Thank you, Pete!!!
The diameter of a Jet globe is 72mm, if that's any help guys.
BTW, no worries, glad to help!!
I have to go do major shopping on Wednesday, Loren. If you want me to get some bottles of a certain kind/kinds of water, whichever ones you want to try, I will.
You rock so much for doing this for me! Now that I'm looking really closely, the cap on my lamps is eeeeeeever so slightly wider than the globe, or maybe it's slightly flared? Yeah...I think that's it, the cap is slightly flared at the bottom, so that it will go over the globe more easily. Which would mean that the cap would go into the base much LESS easily. :p I really do think that one of these water bottles would fit!
Now if I could only find a person willing to sell me a mathmos jet base. :-/
Here's the other one, Loren. That's not a dent in my white cap, just a reflection. I had to use the flash to keep from waking up my husband turning on lights!!
I was trying to use the white cap so it'd show up on the black Jet base, Trev. ;-))
Salt and pepper!
